The Brother PE770 embroidery machine iwth usb flash port is a great embroidery machine. “I didn’t want to spend too much on an embroidery machine before knowing if it would be something that would get a lot of use. Although I don’t have a dedicated sewing room I opted against getting a combo embroidery/sewing machine because I already had a regular machine. I spent almost a year researching machines and the major selling point besides price was that it takes a thumb drive. It was really easy to get started without having to study the manual too extensively. I hate anything with a steep learning curve because I have very little time to sew. I don’t want to spend my precious time reading the manual. I had been looking at Babylocks, but regardless of what the Babylock sales person said, the Brother machines appear identical and much less expensive. I don’t have time to take classes (an advantage of buying from a dealer) so I went for the cheaper Brother. Also, Babylock doesn’t sell this model as a stand alone embroidery machine. The PE770 is the same as the BL Ellure Plus without the sewing machine. The set up is really easy and I immediately began stitching out some of the preloaded designs.
